FAQ
Our short term mission is to bring accountability to Whangarei's local government. We scrutinize every dollar spent. We identify candidates that will keep a check on out of control council spending and keep our rates REAL = Responsible, Efficient, Accountable, Local.
Out-of-touch WOKE councilors and bureaucrats must go, who are ideologically driven, and misusing public funds:
W.O.K.E.
Willfully Overspending, Kowtowing to External (Influence e.g. : UN/NGOs)
Whangarei deserves smart spending — not global agendas.

Our Long Term Mission:
NO TO SMART CITIES - YES TO SMART COUNCILS INSTEAD

Accountability,
Reform, and
Transparency
We stand for SMART Councils, not Smart Cities.
Our mission is to build a Strategic Movement for Accountability, Reform, and Transparency—uniting Concerned Residents Of Whangarei to expose wasteful spending, by a deaf bureaucracy & resist globalist overreach, and restore local democracy.
We believe councils should serve the people, not outside agendas. Through focused investigation, clear communication, and community mobilisation, we aim to hold decision-makers accountable, demand transparency, and refocus local government on the real needs of ratepayers: infrastructure, affordability, and integrity.
We advocate for financial transparency and accountability in council spending. We require fair rates below inflation that reflect the true value of services provided that local residents need and require. Stop wasteful spending on bureaucratic choices that the public do not care for or need.
We push for a council team and a mayor who are not driven by any financially incentivized corporations e.g. LGFA / Foreign Investment Banks / UN will listen to and represent the interests and needs of the local community, and are not afraid to hold out of control council finance staff to account and stop bureaucrats running their own agendas.
By joining CROW, you add your voice to a growing movement demanding councils stick to core infrastructure services instead of out of control spending on vanity projects.
Recent rate increases of up to 60% affect everyone not just property owners, they affect everything from rents, business costs down to your groceries.
Transparency ensures that every decision made is visible and can be seen to be in the best interest of the community. The promotors of extravagant and unnecessary spending will be exposed.
